“Freedom is everything”

As today is the 4th of July also known as independence day you hear multiple people saying phrases like “let freedom ring” and “freedom is everything” which I mostly agree with when it comes to speech and being able to do as you want without problems in America. The definition of freedom is “having the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.”

If you think about what some teenagers mean when the word freedom is mentioned they think “I can go party, drink, and do drugs” that’s not the meaning of freedom, the definition of freedom is “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint” that doesn’t mean you have the right to abuse the privilege with all the childish nonsense not to mention its illegal.

Being a teenager is hard and yes, everything will probably be your fault, but that’s life you’ve got to deal with it and no matter what anyone says you can do it. You can get through it without drugs and alcohol and sex. All of that stuff only temporarily aids after you get back to reality its all just a depressant. Find someone to talk to it helps, someone trustworthy. I talk to my step mother yes you may think I’m crazy but she has the best advice in the world, just about everything she’s lived or been around so yes she understands.

Freedom is the ability to do things safely in your country without having to have a war everyday with that said everyone do not forget to thank all of your troops and veterans, they are the men and women that make it possible to be free in our country. And all of my beloved teenagers out there remember freedom doesn’t mean partying and doing drugs freedom means being able to safely sleep in your bed at night.

God bless you all,

much love -Holly
